About the event
Each session your child will engage in…
Daily Chess Mastery: Learn rules, piece strategies, and tournament etiquette, building up to full games by the end of the week.
Interactive Mini-Lessons: Daily read-alouds that explore concepts of science, design, and creativity.
Hands-On STEM & Art Projects: Daily themed design challenges that facilitate design, construction, and creative expression.
Daily Showcase: Campers present their daily creations to peers, building public speaking confidence and pride in their work.
Led by Katie Oppelt, a NYS-Certified Elementary Educator holding a Master’s in Literacy with 25 years of classroom experience across grades 2–5, currently specializing in STEAM education and Gifted & Talented programming.
